This modification allows to change group of search bots from guests to another.

It's do not affect logged in members (even if they change the useragent with a switcher or anything else). Works only for a guests recognized as a spider crawlers.

I've installed it but I'm trying to figure out how it works.

 

I've had a discussion with the developer and it seems that this plug-in won't work with my board. The developers now explained that it's more suitable for private boards where it is easier to identify a bot and to distinguish them from guests.

I understand this. I understand the difficulty – but of course this wasn't explained at all in the blurb accompanying the plug-in. The great shame.

The developer is fairly proactive in terms of coming back to you with information – but it would have helped if there had been proper instructions on proper explanation at the outset.
