What is it?

Itzverified is a small photo verification plugin. Your members can request a verification code in their settings. Now they can upload a photo where they must hold a paper with the verification code on it and start the verification process. After submitting the file your moderators will be informed via a  notification message about the new submited verification. They can now go to the mcp and verify if the code on the submitted photo equals the code the member got before. If true your moderators can verify the user what does not mean even more than the user becomes a member of a configured group. If the user is a member of the preconfigured group all other members will see a checkmark next to the username like you know it from confirmed profiles at facebook.

You can configure the color and type of the displayed icon. You can also add custom icons that you can relate to your members. These icons will also be displayed next to the username in hovercards, member profiles and forum posts.

Important: Use version 4.2.1 if you have ipboard 4.3 or greater installed. Otherwise please use 4.2.0.

Create and use custom icons (since 4.2.0)

Create Icons

  • Login into your ACP and go to Community > Verification > Custom Icons
  • Click Create New
  • Fill in the required fields and other things you want to customize
  • Press save

Relate custom icons to your members

  • Login into your ACP and go to Community > Members
  • Select the user you want and press Edit
  • Select the tab Verification icons and relate your custom icons to the member
  • After saving the icons will be displayed next to the member's name

Configure file uploading

There were several issues with the file uploading functionality when you are using another file storage than local disk. In such case change the Storage settings for Verification Photos to your preferred storage.

Bug: My site uses S3 to store most file uploads. When I upload a verification image, it uploads it to disk (it's set to upload to disk in the file management settings). The image properly displays in the user account settings panel. But in the moderator verification section, it has a broken link using one of our S3 bucket URLs. Setting the file management for verification to S3 resolves this issue.

Suggestion: Ability to override the Font Awesome includes so that I can use my own, updated, pro version of Font Awesome. And the ability to not include it at all in the case of it already being included.

Suggestion: Ability to define custom CSS for each icon from within the plugin settings. That way I can change its size, add animations, add shadows, add transitions, etc.

Suggestion: Ability to choose whether the images are saved or deleted upon approval/disapproval. This would help organisations like mine combat [credit card] fraud.

Suggestion: Ability to add different verification procedures. One procedure like the one that already exists. One for ID and utility bill verification (multiple uploads). One for credit card verification where companies like mine can match up pictures of users' credit cards with the information we have from Stripe or PayPal. etc.

Suggestion: Ability to add data to each successful verification, and this data can only be seen by members of chosen user groups. Like if my Discord handle were to be verified, a popup (or alt text) would show my verified Discord handle when a user where to hover or click on the verified icon.

These features would be very useful for my business and other organisations or enterprises. I'd imagine you'd be able to charge a lot more if this plugin had those features.

I very much like the plugin so far! Thank you for considering my suggestions.

Listen... This is the most useless and fake app on the market.

At first I had problems with the file system, which I eventually figured out on my own.
Instead of helping, the developer advised me to switch to the file system from Amazon S3

Now there is a problem displaying the verified user icon.

You see.... By buying applications from the market, I hope to get a working product, and not make it work myself.

I am very sorry that I wasted time and money on your app.
