This plugin replaces the default IPS4 front-end login/registration system with WordPress.

This plugin contains the following features

  • Role syncing: The ability to move users into IPS4 groups dependant on the role assigned to them in WordPress.
  • Account Management: Relevant account management pages are redirected to the WordPress counterparts
  • Login/Register/Logout redirection: After clicking the login/register/logout links, the user will be directed back to the IPS4 page they were on
  • Invision Community 4.2 compatibility

Invision Community 4.3
With the recently announced OAuth changes in Invision Community 4.3 which makes it far easier to configure an SSO solution with WordPress, what benefits does this plugin bring over the new built in functionality?

Invision Community 4.3

WordPress SSO

Automatic login

Role Syncing to Member Groups

Important considerations

  • Your WordPress and IPS4 installation MUST BE on the same domain (sub-domains are fine). - Sub domains require a modification to your WordPress configuration.
  • This plugin completely replaces the front-end login system. If you wish to use any other SSO/Social logins, these must be configured in WordPress instead.
  • Users must have a WordPress account to sign in, you may need to import your IPS4 users to WordPress if they do not already have an account
  • This SSO cannot be used to log users into the AdminCP. They will need to use a password that can be set locally (by another admin, edit the user account and 'change' password)

Please make sure that you understand these considerations and are happy with them before purchasing, there will be no refunds.

Compatibility

This SSO should be compatible with most versions of WordPress, however it has only been tested on the later versions (4.4.x+)

Simply awesome plugin. My WP site and IPS are now synced. Superb support from the developer as he helped me to configure and fix issues during install.

I cannot find a link to get support for this application. Invision support says they do not support the plugin. Invision support sent me a URL that takes me here. While the plugin is connected and appears to be working with the exception of Role Mapping. While I have numerous WordPress roles defined. This plugin only identifies two that I can map to, administrator and moderator. There is no "member" role.

Response from the author:

Hi,

I'm sorry you couldn't find the link, as detailed it is in the included PDF documentation.

I will make this clearer in future versions, but don't forget you're always welcome to send me a PM if you're having an issue (I haven't seen one from you yet).

To answer your question though, you cannot set up a role map for your default 'members' group since that is default functionality (as noted in the text above this form). Anything that is not mapped is mapped to the default members group by default. If you want to more options for mapping, you would need to add more member groups to your Invision Community.

This has been an excellent plugin for my Membership Site as I use Wordpress/LearnDash for my Courses and iPBoard for my community.  This means all my Wordpress members profiles need to be able to sync with IPBoard and with this plugin this works perfectly.  Has worked flawlessly since I started using it back in 2016 with the exception of one configuration problem in the beginning I over looked which the developer quickly helped me to fix.

This plugin also has the ability to remove access to the Forum from Cancelled Members of my Wordpress Membership site.  With the role mapping function it's very easy to accomplish this.  Without this, members who are currently not paying will still have access.

Thanks for a great plugin!

A powerful plugin to marry Wordpress and IPS.

The best part: this plugin does exactly what it says it does with no issues whatsoever.

SSO plugin is an absolute must if you're running a Wordpress membership website and using any of the powerful Invision Power Services applications. The SSO plugin unlocks all the power of Wordpress AND Invision Power Services. Together, the combination is unbeatable.

Also, the developer is extremely receptive to questions and sincerely helpful. If you're on the fence about purchasing this plugin, jump off the fence and buy it!

It's worth every penny and more.

Does exactly what it should do

Whenever a member joins our program, they are automatically synced with the forum.

No more missed people or having to add people manually.

I did have a minor issue during set up (my own mistake) but I messaged the plugin designer, and got it resolved asap.

Great product and support!

I had been in search for Wordpress & IPS integration since long and nothing was found over internet (including those messy bla bla plugins which just suck in your $$$ and do nothing) that completely integrate/sync the WP and IPS. Until now, I found this plugin that exactly does what it says so. Now my Wordpress website and IPS forum are completely synced/integrated with this superb SSO plugin. It's pretty simple to install and setup, just entering one line of API code and Forum's URL, and you're all on-the-go. It hardly took me 5 minutes to install, setup and sync WP & IPS.

Here I would appreciate the developer who is very forthcoming and readily available for support or answer the queries in quick time. Although the price is bit higher, however it's worth buying because there exist no other WP & IPS SSO plugin on internet except this, as the developer owe his hard work. I would urge the developer to please don't stop the upgrades or go away with its future development (as normally the other developers do), so that we can get support whenever there is a problem.

I would recommend anyone who is looking for integrating WP & IPS, to not look elsewhere but this plugin. A MUST BUY!

I love this plugin! I first experienced it  on a community I'm a part of as a member. Then on a community I manage for a client. Finally, I purchased this for my own community and it works perfectly. I did have a hiccup with it, but it was my fault. The good news was that I got quick response to my support ticket with the answer. I fixed my mistake and it again works perfectly! Thanks! I highly recommend this plugin.
