About This File

This plugin replaces the default IPS4 front-end login/registration system with WordPress.

This plugin contains the following features

  • Role syncing: The ability to move users into IPS4 groups dependant on the role assigned to them in WordPress.
  • Account Management: Relevant account management pages are redirected to the WordPress counterparts
  • Login/Register/Logout redirection: After clicking the login/register/logout links, the user will be directed back to the IPS4 page they were on
  • Invision Community 4.2 compatibility

Invision Community 4.3
With the recently announced OAuth changes in Invision Community 4.3 which makes it far easier to configure an SSO solution with WordPress, what benefits does this plugin bring over the new built in functionality?

Role Syncing to Member Groups

Important considerations

  • Your WordPress and IPS4 installation MUST BE on the same domain (sub-domains are fine). - Sub domains require a modification to your WordPress configuration.
  • This plugin completely replaces the front-end login system. If you wish to use any other SSO/Social logins, these must be configured in WordPress instead.
  • Users must have a WordPress account to sign in, you may need to import your IPS4 users to WordPress if they do not already have an account
  • This SSO cannot be used to log users into the AdminCP. They will need to use a password that can be set locally (by another admin, edit the user account and 'change' password)

Please make sure that you understand these considerations and are happy with them before purchasing, there will be no refunds.

This SSO should be compatible with most versions of WordPress, however it has only been tested on the later versions (4.4.x+)

Bug release and minor enhancement update

  • Misc bug fixes and improvements
  • Minimum supported Invision Community version 4.4.0
  • Disable Post Before Registering if WordPress SSO is enabled (PBR is not compatible with this type of SSO)
  • Prevent a modal flashing up in some circumstances when a user clicks the register/login buttons
  • Add support for the 'getEditProfileUrl()' function in WordPress, so account management redirects can be customised
  • Members blocked my the IPS Spam Defense service will now be shown an error
  • Added code to prevent requests to wp_api.php from being cached
  • SSO will no longer run if the request has been triggered via AJAX (JavaScript). This should prevent duplicate members being created.

Simply awesome plugin. My WP site and IPS are now synced. Superb support from the developer as he helped me to configure and fix issues during install.

Worth every penny

I had been in search for Wordpress & IPS integration since long and nothing was found over internet (including those messy bla bla plugins which just suck in your $$$ and do nothing) that completely integrate/sync the WP and IPS. Until now, I found this plugin that exactly does what it says so. Now my Wordpress website and IPS forum are completely synced/integrated with this superb SSO plugin. It's pretty simple to install and setup, just entering one line of API code and Forum's URL, and you're all on-the-go. It hardly took me 5 minutes to install, setup and sync WP & IPS.

Here I would appreciate the developer who is very forthcoming and readily available for support or answer the queries in quick time. Although the price is bit higher, however it's worth buying because there exist no other WP & IPS SSO plugin on internet except this, as the developer owe his hard work. I would urge the developer to please don't stop the upgrades or go away with its future development (as normally the other developers do), so that we can get support whenever there is a problem.

I would recommend anyone who is looking for integrating WP & IPS, to not look elsewhere but this plugin. A MUST BUY!

Cool! It does what it says. It is compatible with IPB 4.3.x and latest WP, it is easy to setup and it is also secure. I am happy with it.
