I loved this plugin, but it won't work on 4.5.

Any chance you'll update it? I feel lost without it.

Works as expected! Nothing more, nothing less.

Why on earth the posts aren't numbered as a standard feature of Invision, I have no idea. It seems such a basic function and so useful when people are referring to particular posts. However, this plug-in has been written to fill that gap and is offered completely free – so what is there not to like.

It works excellently.

However, it may not work with version 4 .5  and I hope that this will be addressed and frankly it wouldn't be unreasonable for the @Pete Tto make a small charge for it.

Works for me in 4.2.3.  Just installed it.  However, as mentioned below, when a user replies to a thread it shows the reply as #1.  Is there any way you can fix it so every reply shows up with the correct post ID without refreshing the page?

it sounds like a good plugin but I just tried installing it on 4.2.3 and it didn't work.

Nice plugin but there's one bug in that when you post a reply to a existing topic, it will make your new post appear as #1 even though it is obviously not. It will correct itself when reloading the page however. Tested in IP.Board v4.1.18.4.

Doesn't work on 4.5 😞 Could we get some love with this?

Our members are really missing this feature since the update.  I'd love to see it compatible with 4.5.x now, and would even pay a small one-off for the privilege. What possessed Invision to remove it in the first place... 😬

Absolutely love this plugin, something so simple I was shocked that it isn't already in the suite.  Really looking forward to 4.5 support!

I couldn't image how important this little tool will get in the future and as others stated, i can't believe that this isn't a standard feature within Invision. I would love to pay for a development of a 4.5 version of this must have plugin!

Works great, one of those features you don't appreciate until it's there.

Only suggestion is to enable it by default after plugin installation. Not a big deal, just would make this great little plugin truly seamless.

Product works like described. @GlenP Just don't forget to set the permissions. Plugins --> Post Number --> Edit --> select "All Groups" 

I've been using the plugin from @Matt for 4.1 but have just tried this on an IPS demo site running 4.2.3 and it doesn't work.

My apologies. I have been trying other new 4.2  features and they aren't working either. It seems that without more user traffic that many background processes won't run which possibly explains why it doesn't work for me.
