This plugin adds another email address field on the new member registration form for the user to confirm the email address.

On submission, if the two email fields do not match the registration will not process and the form will reappear with a message indicating those two email addresses did not match.

The remaining fields and choices will still retain previously filled in information. The user will just need to correct the email addresses and re-submit.

This DOES work with the register after posting feature. When the user enters their email address and post content and then hits save, they are taken to the usual user registration form with the email address field pre-filled with their entry. The confirm email field is beneath, and works, as expected.

This validation occurs AFTER a user submits the registration form, not via jQuery live on the form after they enter both email addresses.

Version 2 is for Invision Community 4.4 and above exclusively. Confirmed working with 4.5

For 4.3.6 and lower please use version 1.

This is a free resource, written a long while back, with the expectation that IPS would build in this feature themselves eventually.

Considering that schoolchildren are in a hurry on my site, and because of this, they enter incorrect email addresses, I needed this extension. It somehow works, and thanks for that, but ..

To check your mail, you first need to click on the "Create an account" button. The plugin does not work in real time.

And it would be great to see how this plugin works in the "Join the discussion" section as well. It seems to me that the author simply forgot to implement it.

But in any case, thanks to the author. The plugin helped me a lot.

Right, it says exactly that right in the description. It's a simple plugin. it's also free...

Of course it does, just not there. The user will still need to enter all the other registration information such as user name and so on when they click submit. They enter the email address again there.

This is all working as intended.

If you need real time Javascript verification of the email address or want the extra email entry field and verification on the post entry form you can always request those things in the customization requests forum here or contract someone in the providers list to make it for you for $

Does what it says on the tin, and again why was this not included in the system?

Thanks Astronauts.

Its ok.

But will be perfect if the check takes place immediately after filling in the two fields (and there is a green check mark on the side), but not after you - send form.

ps/. For pass fields this will be perfect too.

I'm starting to like this developer. Almost everything he created should be included in the system by default.

Why was this not a feature. This plugin installed without a problem and from what I can see and have tested it works perfectly on version 4.1.6.1
