Spammers automatically blocked from Invision Community by IPS Spam Defense to date
How IPS Spam Defense protects your community
User registers at your community as normal, via built-in form or social media.
The IPS Spam Defense service checks key data points against known spammers.
The user is assigned a confidence value from 1, 'not a spammer', to 4, 'certain spammer'.
Actions you configure are taken based on the confidence, all the way up to refusing registration.
If the worst happens and a spammer does make it into your community, Invision Community has a one-click spam cleanup process - simply go to the spammer's profile and click "Mark as Spammer". The user's account will be immediately banned, and all of their content will be removed. It's like they were never there.
ReCaptcha & KeyCaptcha Updated
Invision Community supports Recaptcha2 by Google, meaning that in most cases your users don't even have to type in random letters; instead, Google algorithms automatically determine if the user is human or otherwise. Invision Community also supports KeyCaptcha, which requires guests to solve a simple problem before being able to contribute.
